The purpose of the Business Development Manager role is to generate new business revenue and build market position by identifying, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing identified and new business relationships.


Develop sales programs and growth strategies for large key accounts in the US and Canada 


Develop and implement proactive business development strategies that builds upon existing client relationships and target new opportunities. 


Manage and build relationships and revenue with existing key accounts and act as liaison between company and customer through regularly scheduled visits, comprehensive business reviews, product introductions and training, product sales analysis and development and execution of growth initiatives. 


Prepare Sales Forecasting of key accounts and products.


Build relationships with key account field managers and coordinate regional meetings, product trainings and ride along reviews with Elbeco Sales Representatives.


Work with Sales team to identify and secure opportunities with 1000+ personnel agencies and State and Federal contracts.Manage process through each phase including identifying and qualifying opportunity, coordinating process with internal stakeholders, and managing process through delivery of product.


Attend and represent the company at various trade and industry conventions throughout the year.  


Other duties assigned as required.


  • Four (4) year college degree
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Resource sales professional with management and leadership talent possessing a complete business perspective who is dynamic, results driven, individual with a sense of urgency and solid goal orientation. 
  • 10+ years in business development and key account sales preferably in the Public Safety sector.
  • Ability to Farm (Account Management) and Hunt (New Business Development)
  • Ability to Travel 60-75%
  • Good Communicator / Personable / Self Motivated
